Biography
Dr. Ram Prasad Pokhrel is a Senior Consultant in Pediatrics at ADK Hospital with extensive experience in child healthcare, medical education, and clinical research. He completed his MD in General Medicine from Luhansk State Medical University, Ukraine, before pursuing an MD in Pediatrics at Kathmandu University, Nepal, which he completed in 2017.
Following his postgraduate training, Dr. Pokhrel served as an Assistant Professor and Consultant Pediatrician at a teaching hospital in Nepal for six years, where he combined clinical practice with teaching and research. Since joining ADK Hospital in 2024, he has continued to provide comprehensive, evidence-based care for infants, children, and adolescents. His special interests include allergic diseases in children, childhood epilepsy, developmental and behavioural disorders, and advancing paediatric research. He is dedicated to delivering compassionate, family-centred care that supports children's health and development at every stage.
